Greed (Seven Deadlies MC Book 4) Page 4
There was no denying he was sexy, but Emily usually didn’t take the time to notice.
As his cut fell to the floor he laid her out on the sheet and stopped only to remove his shirt. Emily watched, utterly aroused, as he tossed it aside too and then reached for her shirt. Emily helped him pull her shirt up and over her head as quickly as she could.
“Slow down, sweetheart. We have all the time in the world.”
But, he didn’t understand.
She didn’t have all the time in the world to convince herself she wasn’t making a mistake, so she tugged him down for a kiss, her fingers weaving through his hair.
Rider moaned her name against her mouth, his hazel eyes locking on hers as he ducked his head and sucked one of her hardened nipples between his teeth. Emily’s mouth fell open in pleasure as she watched his tongue circle the pink bud. His other hand was massaging her other nipple, his talented fingers pinching and twisting the sensitive bud into submission…
Emily’s back arched of its own accord when his tongue sucked on the barbell.
“Fuck, that feels so good,” She cooed.
Rider smiled up at her as he worked her leggings down and pushed them aside. Emily could see the hard outline of his cock through his jeans and she urged him to unbuckle his belt so he could take his own pants off. As Rider slipped from the confines of his jeans, Emily worked her panties down. She kicked them off at the same moment Rider rejoined her, completely naked.
“You’re so beautiful, Em.”
Emily blushed at his words because he meant them, she could see it in his eyes. Biting her bottom lip, Emily slid one hand down his hard stomach and gripped his cock. Rider grunted, his mouth clashing with hers again as he pressed two fingers against her swollen clit. Emily moaned his name, she couldn’t help it- no one had paid such close attention to her body in such a long time. Rider kissed her harder, deeper, as he circled her clit faster. Emily’s whole body was shaking with need by the time he stilled her hand on his dick.
“The only place I wanna come, is inside you.”
His words only made her wetter.
It felt like she’d been waiting for him for so long by the time she lined him up to her entrance and wrapped her thighs around his.
Rider paused, his hands smoothing hair away from her face.
“Are you sure?”
Emily nodded adamantly.
“I’m sure, baby.”
Rider pulled her even closer to him as he wrapped his strong body around hers. Emily waited with bated breath for him to fuck her, to take her, but he did something else entirely.
Rider slid into her body like he’d been made to, and instead of getting rough with her instantly, he bent forward and kissed her.
He’s making love to me.
Why, why, why?
Emily thought about asking him to speed it up, but instead she just let him touch her. After a minute of him caressing her and working his hips slow as sin, Emily finally felt her body giving in to him…
And that was how everything changed.
That was how everything began to make sense again.
That was how she realized she loved two men with her whole heart, and not just the broken bits.
Chapter 5
Green sat back in his chair, his hands steepled on the table. Ox was watching him through narrowed eyes, and he knew his ass was about to get chewed out.
Again.
“What do you want me to do about Emily, Green? Obviously, you two can’t be around each other.”
You mean, obviously I fucked up and now everyone in the entire county knows it?
Slayer snorted ineloquently from beside him and Green had to fight the urge to stab him.
At least, twice.
“I’ve done everything I know how to do to make it right.”
“Except stop hanging out with the whore you cheated on her with,” Limit spat.
Green winced at the disgust in his tone, but he knew he fucking deserved it. Limit may be a loyal fucker, but he still knew Emily better than most. He cared about her.
“Kandy has been fired and this time we’ll watch her to make sure we don’t have another Tasha situation on our hands,” Ox said tiredly.
“So, what now?”
Before Ox could reply, Rider came hustling into the room.
“Sorry I’m late, boss.”
Ox nodded.
“Emily texted me, told me she was running behind. No harm, no foul. We just started. She doin’ okay?”
Rider nodded, but something about the way he grinned had Green on edge instantly.
No, no, no!
He caught sight of Emily through the window behind Ox and she was still sitting on the back of Rider’s bike. Rayna was talking to her and they were both smiling.
Her cheeks were flushed and her long hair was tied up on top her of head in a messy knot, tendrils hanging low in her face. She looked absolutely radiant, and it made Green’s fingers itch to touch her soft skin again.
“I don’t think we’ll have a repeat of last night. Em’s doin’ much better,” Rider told Ox.
Green noticed the fact that Rider was still grinning from ear to ear like a mad man, but he was trying hard to conceal it. Green had no idea what went on between him and Emily behind closed doors, but he was willing to bet it would make him sick to find out.
Emily still felt like his woman even though she wasn’t anymore…
“So, we’ve got some new riders in town. Axel called me to tell me they came to the strip club last night. They’re wearin’ colors we don’t recognize.”
“They cause trouble?”
Slayer asked this as he sat back in his chair.
“No, but Axel seems to think they’re a nomad crew. There’s only a few riders.”
Green watched Fury and Limit glanced at each other before Prettyboy looked up.
“We need to watch ‘em, or no? You want a couple of us to go to Sexy Sinners?”
Ox looked deep in thought when he finally nodded, his fingers gripping the gavel.
“Yeah, do that. See if you can figure out why they’re in town. It’s been awful quiet around here and somethin’ in my gut is telling me shits about to hit the fan.”
Green watched Rider’s head jerk to the side and he could still see Emily through the window, her arm slung around Scarlett’s waist.
Rider was watching her, Green knew, because he was watching her, too.
She looks happier…
That thought was swallowed by self-loathing as Ox slammed the gavel down.
“Alright, Fury and Limit, you two head over to the club, see what’s goin’ on. Report back to me later tonight.”
Fury and Limit stood together, both of them already in conversation about something that sounded like wedding plans and Green blanched at the thought.
Guess I won’t be gettin’ hitched now…
“Cheer up, man! Business is boomin’, the garage is doin’ better, and the boss fired Kandy. All your problems should be taken care of,” Slayer said.
Green glanced at him before he motioned towards the bar.
“Where’s Torch?”
Slayer looked around for him and then shrugged when he couldn’t find him.
“No idea, brother. Maybe he’s already at Sexy Sinners. Boss told him yesterday he may be posted as a bouncer there for a little while.”
Green nodded before he decided to brave the shame and head outside, even though he knew Scarlett, Rayna, and Emily were out there. As soon as he stepped outside he could see that Esme had joined the group and he groaned internally. Never had he imagined so many old ladies on the Seven Deadlies’s lot, let alone an entire group of women dedicated to being his lynch mob.
Rayna caught his eye and wandered over to him, obviously taking some kind of pity on him.
“Hey, best friend.”
Green dipped his head.
“Hey.”
Rayna tucked her hair back behind her ears and Green caught a sight
of Flora tucked up against her chest in some kind of baby-hammock that looked far too confusing for him.
“How’s the baby?,” He asked.
Rayna looked down at the sleeping angel in her arms and smiled up at him.
“You wanna hold her?”
He held his hands out and started to shake his head, but Rayna’s voice stopped him cold.
“Fury and I want you to be his God father,” She murmured.
His chest swelled with pride and love and confusion, but he took the tiny baby from Rayna just the same and ran his fingers along the tuft of curls on the top of her head.
“She’s so perfect,” He whispered.
Rayna was smiling, but she was crying, too.
“I hate you for fuckin’ everything up, Killian. But, we still love you. You know that, right?”
Green nodded his head.
He hated himself for it, too, but it was good to know that his best friend still loved him enough to entrust him with her baby.
Flora was a gorgeous creature with big blue eyes and dark hair like her daddy, all stuck to her head in a riot of curls. As Green’s fingers rubbed along her soft skin, she reached up and wrapped one tiny hand around his finger and his heart skipped a beat.
“She loves you.”
Rayna’s words made him so happy, so damn proud, and he promised himself right then and there he would never let Flora down.
“I love her too,” He said hoarsely.
Rayna seemed to sense that he was getting emotional because she asked if he wanted her to take Flora back, but Green shook his head.
“Just let me feel good a little while longer, Rayna.”
Rayna’s eyes fell to her feet and she glanced at the women crowded around Rider’s bike. Green followed her gaze and felt his entire world collapse in the span of two seconds when he watched Rider lean down to kiss Emily right on the mouth.
Never had they done that before, never had he seen it, and it killed him.
Destroyed him.
Much like I destroyed her…
“Hey, uh, on second thought-why don’t you take her? I have a couple of errands to run.”
Rayna looked at him with pity in her eyes, and it took all he had not to stomp across the lot and snatch Emily right out of Rider’s arms, but he couldn’t do that. She wasn’t his anymore.
And, the more he thought about it…the more he wondered if she ever really was.
◆◆◆
Rider’s lips caressed Emily’s and she internally paused. She knew Green was across the lot and she knew that she was flirting with danger by getting involved with Rider, but she couldn’t shake how she felt about him.
At least, how she was beginning to realize she felt about him.
It hurt, it fucking hurt, but Emily was sure she was finally ready to move on- and that meant immersing herself in someone else completely and not looking over her shoulder for a pair of familiar green eyes.
That meant letting go of how badly he hurt her and understanding that Rider and Green were two different people.
“You ready to get out of here?”
Rider’s warm breath licked the shell of her ear and Emily nodded, a small smile on her face.
“What do you say we stay in tonight? You made some good progress today as far as painting goes. We can head home and watch movies together,” Rider suggested.
Emily didn’t miss the fact that he referred to her apartment as home.
And, why shouldn’t he?
He’d spent practically every waking minute there with her, and Emily knew she should be grateful he had.
“That sounds great, baby. Let’s go.”
Scarlett smiled at her and she could see the happiness radiating from her best friend. Was it so selfish that Emily just wanted a little bit of that for herself?
Rider handed her a helmet before he slid onto his bike and Emily resumed her position behind him, her hands wrapping around his taut waist.
“See ya later!,” Emily called.
All her ladies waved and Emily did her best to live in the moment; not the past, not even the present, but literally that moment and that moment alone. Because to her, if she were being honest, thinking about anything beyond that made her heart and her head hurt.
Chapter 6
Limit slapped his palm against Torch’s as he and Fury stepped inside Sexy Sinners. The place was packed, something that was a stroke of good fortune for the Seven Deadlies. Limit could spot many of the familiar tagalongs working the night-shift as he glanced around for the newcomers they were there to find.
“Hey, Ox sent us over to check out the new colors passing through here last night. They come back tonight by chance?,” Limit asked.
Fury was looking around too as they both waited for Torch to respond.
Torch ran a hand through his dark hair as he nodded a table towards the back of the strip club, tucked away in a dark corner.
“Yeah, they’re back there. They got a little rowdy with Ruby tonight, already had to give ‘em a warning,” Torch said with a sneer.
Fury frowned as he turned to face Torch.
“We’re gonna hang back at the bar, watch for a little bit. Is Esme here tonight? I know she was supposed to be workin’ the office for Rayna.”
Torch nodded.
“She’s in the back if you guys wanna check on her. She said she’d only be here until ten and then she’d be going home.”
Limit didn’t like the idea of any of their women working in close proximity with newcomers- especially if they were getting too rowdy.
“Okay, we’ll keep you posted.”
Torch didn’t bother to say anything else before he turned to admit three new patrons at the door, his broad shoulders blocking out the entrance.
As Limit stepped deeper into the club, he could easily make out certain details of their new friends from his place across the room.
Dirty clothes, ratty cuts, and from the way they were leaning over the table, Limit was willing to bet they were sniffing coke the old-fashioned way.
“You seein’ what I’m seein’?,” Fury mumbled.
“Yep. Looks like coke to me.”
Seeing other clubs fucking around with drugs didn’t surprise them in the least. It was the fact that they didn’t allow it in Sexy Sinners that had Limit pissed off.
“So, they show up here out of the blue and disrespect our women and snort their product right here in the middle of the club? They’re here for a reason, brother, and it ain’t to make friends.”
Limit knew that Fury was right, but he wanted to watch them for just a little bit longer before he made a move.
He wanted to study his targets.
As they sat down at the bar, Limit caught a glimpse of the biggest one’s patches; President was among them.
He couldn’t see any names, and he didn’t even know if they’d have their names where anyone could see them, but their names didn’t really matter. Their business in Deadly territory did.
“Axel called Ox a couple of days ago and told him he’d seen these guys floatin’ around town. At first, they avoided our territory, now they’re gallivanting through it like they own it. You think this has to do the with the drugs they’re inhaling?,” Fury asked.
Limit slowly shook his head.
“Axel’s main hub isn’t drugs anymore, it’s guns. If they have their own product, they don’t need ours. They’re nomad anyway, maybe they’re here to find a place to settle,” Limit said.
He didn’t believe that, it was never that fucking simple, but he was willing to investigate before he jumped to conclusions.
Fury nodded his dark head and looked back over at the table in question.
“Should we wait until we know Esme is gone?”
Limit nodded.
“Don’t want her caught up in this mess,” Fury said softly.
He checked his phone and smiled, something that Limit knew had to do with his beautiful little girl.
“How’s the baby
, man?”
“She’s amazing. Surprises me every day,” Fury said with a gleeful smile tugging at his lips.
Limit was happy as hell to be marrying the woman of his dreams, especially since she didn’t give up on him, even when she should have.
“Better settle in, Fury. The night is young and these fuckers look like they love to party.”

Emily held up two DVD’s in front of Rider and wiggled her eyebrows.
“You, you lucky man, get to choose.”
Rider cleared his throat and frowned.
“Those are literally the two worst options to choose from.”
Emily glanced at the movies in her hands, The Notebook and Gone with the Wind.
“What’s wrong with them?,” She asked defensively.
“Really? They’re both romances, and the latter has a terrible ending!,” Rider argued.
Emily looked at the movies once more before she sighed and nodded.
“You’re right, let’s stick to horror movies. At least those are closer to the truth,” She murmured darkly.
Rider frowned even harder, his blonde brows furrowing as he watched her stick a completely different DVD into the player and press play.
“What’s the matter, sweetheart? You…are you thinkin’ about what happened earlier, between us?”
Yes.
No.
“A little,” She admitted as she ran a hand over her face.
“Don’t worry about it, okay? Don’t overthink it. Come sit next to me like you have every night for months and let me hold you,” He said softly.
It fucking kills me when he speaks like that to me…
Why am I so fucked in the head that I can’t even let him be kind to me?
As Emily fell onto the couch beside him, Rider hesitantly placed his hand on her thigh. Emily hated that she made him second-guess himself, so she wrapped her fingers around his and leaned into his shoulder. After a few seconds, he slowly relaxed and wrapped his opposite arm around her, cradling her against his side.
Rider was safe and kind and warm and so damn sweet, and all Emily wanted to do was get lost in him.
Again.
“Rider?”
He nodded, his hazel eyes landing on her.
